Round 3 Wrap

VIRginia International Raceway... a character building week.

Round 3 was a tough one, I had two test days before the round, on the Wednesday and Thursday. I struggled to get into a groove at VIR all week but I did manage to find some pace in qualifying. I put it on P3 for Race 1 and P4 for Race 2

In Race 1 I got into 2nd off the start, it was a tough few laps at the start defending other cars, unfortunately I made a mistake and ran off the end of the straight, this dropped me back to 10th. I moved forward a position but not long after that we went under saftey car, on the restart I managed to get another position before we went under saftey car for the remainder off the race. I was P8 overall and P4 in class. It was really disapointing to finsih the race there and lose the podium but there were still positives to take away from the race.

In Race 2 I started 4th, I battled with another car for most of the race ultimatley finishing in 4th. We just didnt quite have the pace to do anything more than that this weekend. 4th is still a solid result and great points for the championship but I know we have more in us, we will keep working. Next up is Mid-Ohio, the track looks awesome and we are racing as a support for Indy Car so that'll be fun. As always, a huge thank you to JDX Racing, Jaxon and my supporters for making this weekend possible.
